Our client currently has an opening for a Marketing Coordinator. Reporting to
the Marketing Director, this position will be supporting 1-2 Vertical Marketing
Managers, this highly tactical position is responsible for the coordination and
execution of our clients conference direct marketing programs.
Key Role Responsibilities/Activities/Deliverables:
Assist with detailed market analysis of past marketing campaigns (including
but not limited to: internal data analysis, reporting on trends).
Support research on market conditions, industry standards & competitive
activity, based upon the direction of the Vertical Marketing Manager.
Coordinate design, production and distribution of conference brochures and
other promotional materials (may include fax broadcasts, press releases,
advertisements, on-site marketing collateral and signage etc).
Establish and maintain contact with external suppliers and ensure timely
execution of marketing actively & track deliveries, orders, and inventory of
envelopes, brochures etc.
Track all mailing activity & keep master marketing schedule updated.
Research and source prospect leads.
Source and purchase external list from list brokers, upon direction from
Vertical Marketing Manager.
Conduct list queries within internal database- writing in code to select
target groups.
Research key industry associations, trade publications and media upon
direction from the Vertical Marketing Manager.
Coordinate all partnership agreement terms (scheduling & fulfillment of
mailings/inserts etc).
Coordinate advertising placement and schedules.
Coordinate and post conferences to on-line calendar of events listings.
Prepare & send customized letters with brochures to conference speakers,
research clients, past attendees and other qualified prospects.
Coordinate press releases, event advisories and letters, as assigned.
Send press agreements upon request and prepare Press Kits for conferences as
needed.
Fulfill brochure requests.
Data entry as required.
Maintain media source and rate card library.
Distribution of marketing collateral and filing as required.
Manage a central budget/invoice system.
Under close direction of Vertical Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator
may be asked to create & develop marketing strategies for annual events, as
assigned.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with
and relate to all levels both within and outside the organization

Superior computer skills (including MS Word, advanced excel and power point)
database experience preferred
Excellent internet research abilities
Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of
a team
Post Secondary Education (Marketing or Business degree preferred)
1-2 years relevant marketing experience
