Overview:
The Operations Technical Specialist is responsible for providing specialized
technical knowledge and support within the Operations group for our clients ATM
products. This position is a technical resource responsible to obtain internal
or external support in an appropriate and effectively structured manner to
troubleshoot and diagnose ATM issues.
Key activities include managing complex hardware issues requiring reviews of
trace files, as well as managing complex software and communication issues. This
position is also responsible for the post-certification testing, training and
user documentation for internal and external resources, and providing input on
the development of technical deployment for new ATM hardware and software
roll-outs.
Key Role Responsibilities/Activities/Deliverables:
Be the Subject Matter Expert for all company certified ATM software,
hardware and communications, acquiring intimate knowledge of individual ATM
hardware products and related operating software
Gain a detailed understanding of companys ATM infrastructure and
communication systems and support the Operations team in these areas
Develop documentation of new products certified by companys IS department for
the Operations teams
Develop documentation for ATM technicians for configuring ATMs, and for any
onsite upgrades or necessary changes
Troubleshoot complex ATM issues, coordinating with internal and external
resources, as required
Perform complete post-mortem analyses of ongoing issues with an action plan
for improved handling in the future
Perform regular statistical analyses of ongoing issues, working with internal
and/or external resources to resolve issues identified and escalating, as
required
Develop technical implementation plans for ATM hardware and/or software
roll-outs (often customer specific)
Develop documentation for training programs to Operations staff, and provide
technical training as needed
Perform installation, configuration and testing of ATMs
Provide service and support for the company ATM network in a timely and
service oriented manner
ATM hardware, software and monitoring system vendor liaison
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Competencies/Education:
Minimum of 2 years experience troubleshooting ATM hardware, software and
communication issues
Helpdesk & Systems support
Documentation and procedure generation
Technical Equipment testing and QA
Technical Equipment deployment and implementation
Technical Equipment support
Incident and statistical analysis for root cause resolution
Microsoft Operating Systems
LAN/WAN networking
ATM platforms, operating systems and interfacing
Second level ATM diagnostics
Excellent planning, organizing and analytical skills
