SUMMARY:
Responds to all customers inquires regarding orders, shipments, products and
complaints. Provides service and support to members of the Independent sales
department as well as our client’s customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
Answers all incoming calls in a professional, courteous and timely fashion.
Directs/transfers all calls to individuals or voice mail as appropriate.
Distributes sales correspondence to appropriate individuals.
Coordinating incoming and outgoing fax transmittals.
Maintains sales files including quotations, contact reports, sales history, work
orders, etc.
Manages customer database for entry of leads and generation of correspondence.
Ensures database is maintained and kept up to date.
Inputs orders and relative data into the customer database
Coordinates literature mailings for advertising leads, business reply cards,
call in inquiries, and special mailings.
Assists with customer service activities as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School (or GED), and 2 or more years customer service experience
(preferably in a manufacturing environment); or equivalent combination of
education and related experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
PC experience: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Must exhibit a professional telephone manner, courteous demeanor and possess
exceptional interpersonal skills.
Capable of handling several tasks simultaneously.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be bilingual (English/French). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret
general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
in mathematical or diagram form.
