Our client, a global leader in the building construction materials industry, is seeking an outgoing and confident Bilingual Senior Credit Analyst. Reporting to the Credit Manager and located in Brampton, the successful candidate must be comfortable working with minimal direction, working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This role requires flexibility, keeping an active mind, openness and continually learning.  

The Bilingual Senior Credit Analyst handles assigned customer accounts regarding cash collection & application, research and resolution of charge backs and under payments as well as customers and sales personnel questions, concerns or complaints. Additionally, he/she provides management with information to assist in its operational decision-making. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and maintain database of accounts covered by insurance companies (e.g. EDC)
  • Monitor and proactively follow-up on customers not paying within agreed terms
  • Keep management & necessary parties informed of circumstances when necessary.
  • Monitors and maintains a record of funds paid via Electronic Fund Transfer
  • Work with Sales and Credit Manager in determining customer credit limits.  Monitor and adjust as necessary.
  • Investigate and appropriately resolve charge backs and under payments in a timely manner
  • Assist customers and sales personnel with questions, concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain customer files, records of payment, PST certificates, etc. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bilingual in English & French
  • 5 years of business to business Credit/Collections experience
  • Capacity of working with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Must be a decision maker
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with others
  • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
