The Bilingual Regional Sales Associate acts as an integral partner in driving the sales results of their assigned Sales Region. Dedicating a majority of their time establishing sales rapport with all Investment Advisors (IA’s) within the region, primarily through telephone contact, email and occasionally face to face contact.
Responsibilities:
- The Bilingual Regional Sales Associate is responsible for achieving specific sales targets on an annual basis. Conducting meaningful sales conversations with investment advisor’s (IA) in a designated sales region is an expectation of the Bilingual Regional Sales Associate . In order to develop a thorough understanding of IA’s needs, the Bilingual Regional Sales Associate is expected to conduct clearly defined sales calls as outlined by our client against specified Call Activity Targets.
- Thorough territory rotation and coverage of the assigned sales region is an expectation of the Bilingual Regional Sales Associate, developing existing relationships and prospecting new IA’s as well as support existing sales relationships.
- Responding effectively and on a timely manner to address IA’s needs within the designated region will be an ongoing expectation of the RSA in order to develop deeper client relationships that are mutually beneficial.
- A thorough understanding of our client’s product offering as well as business solutions and value added ideas, including marketing tools is an expectation of the Bilingual Regional Sales Associate.
- Bilingual Regional Sales Associates will be expected to actively participate in team meetings with an emphasis on sales workshops geared toward sales skills development, presentation skills refinement, as well as objection handling strategies. Additionally, the Bilingual Regional Sales Associates will be expected to participate in National Sales initiatives, contests, campaigns, offsite meetings as a function of driving the sales initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bilingual in English and French: effective oral and written communication skills are required.
- Completion of the Canadian Securites Course is required
- Post secondary education preferred, in finance, marketing or related areas.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry, or strong related sales experience is preferred.
- Strength and comfort level in presentation skills as well as professionalism in a client facing role are a requirement
- Experience working with investment advisors and a solid understanding of the advisor and investor behaviors, and experience in the mutual funds or asset management business are a definite asset.
- Sales experience or exposure in a sales environment is essential.
- Strong Sales and Organizational Skills are a requirement for this role in order to identify needs and opportunities
- Relationship and Interpersonal skills with an ability to develop broad, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with computers and various software packages, specifically Microsoft Office.
